77th Republic Day Celebration

Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla International School, Peth Vadgaon, commemorated the 77th Republic Day with dignity, pride and patriotic zeal on 26th January 2026. The campus resonated with the spirit of nationalism as students, staff and dignitaries came together to honour the ideals of the Indian Constitution.

The occasion was graced by Hon. Mr. Indrajit Nageshkar, Architect, Engineer and Urban Designer, Kolhapur, as the Chief Guest. The august gathering included SSSPSM President Shri. Gulabrao Pol (IPS), DCPIS Chairperson Mrs. Vidya G. Pol, Rtd ACP, Mumbai Hon. Mr. Laxman Sarwade, Rtd. Police Officer Mr. Vasant Panhalkar, AFPI Chairman Mr. Vishwas Kadam, Principal Dr. Sardar Jadhav, ZCA Director Dr. Madhavi Sawant, Administrative Officer Mr. Sagar Patil along with several other eminent personalities who added prestige to the celebration. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The entire atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and reverence as all present solemnly pledged to uphold the honour, integrity and unity of the nation. The fluttering Tricolour stood tall as a symbol of India’s sacrifices, strength and sovereignty.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest Hon. Mr. Indrajit Nageshkar eloquently eloquently emphasised responsible citizenship and choosing right over convenience. He encouraged students to associate with the right company, be conscientious citizens, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building, stating that “the true celebration of Republic Day lies in living the values enshrined in our Constitution.”

SSSPSM President Shri. Gulabrao Pol (IPS) inspired everyone and

spoke on the essence of India’s democratic values and the power of unity in diversity.

The major highlights of the programme included melodious patriotic songs by the school choir, remarkable speeches by students, and an impressive March Past by the AFPI cadets, which showcased exemplary discipline, precision, and teamwork, drawing loud applause from the audience. The celebration reflected a harmonious blend of solemn reflection and spirited patriotism.
