At Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla International School, the health and well-being of our students remain a top priority. We recognize that a healthy child is a happy and effective learner, and therefore ensure that comprehensive medical support is seamlessly integrated into the school environment.

The school is equipped with a fully functional and well-appointed Medical Inspection (MI) Room, supervised by a qualified doctor and a trained nurse. This facility is designed to provide immediate medical attention, comfort, and care to students and staff whenever required.

Understanding the active nature of school life—where children play, explore, and engage in various physical activities—we are well-prepared to handle minor injuries, general illnesses, and emergencies. For routine health concerns, medication is administered only with prior parental consent. Students requiring rest are provided with a safe, comfortable, and supervised space ensuring complete care and privacy.

The school also places strong emphasis on preventive healthcare and awareness. Regular health awareness programmes are conducted on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, communicable diseases, and overall wellness. Students are sensitized to important health issues including waterborne diseases, tuberculosis and substance abuse prevention.

Basic First Aid training is imparted to students, empowering them to respond effectively in emergency situations. Well-equipped First Aid kits are strategically placed across the campus for immediate accessibility.

In collaboration with government health initiatives, the school actively facilitates vaccination drives and deworming programmes with the support of parents and authorities. Periodic health advisories are also shared with parents to ensure continued well-being beyond the school premises.

From the moment students board the school transport until they safely return home, every measure is taken to ensure their medical safety and care.
