GENERAL RULES

PHONE CALL
Students are given an opportunity to interact with their parents through telephonic calls twice in a month after the two months of beginning of the academic year. Parents are not supposed to make phone calls to students in this regard. Hostel Superintendent/ Dorm Parents can be contacted for emergency purposes. 

SPECIAL OUT PASS
Apart from regular Out pass Special Out Pass is sanctioned to the students on the following basis:                                   
i.          Marriage of real brother, sister, uncles (mama & kaka)                                 
ii.         Own Birthday                               
iii.        Medical Emergencies                                
iv.        Death Emergencies 

PARENTS MEET
Parents meet are usually scheduled on the day of out-pass and every Second Saturday of the Month where parents can meet the teachers, see the academic progress of the student and have an interaction with the school authorities as well. The Schedule is as mentioned below:
1.           Every Second Saturday of the Month
2.           On the date of Out-pass of Ganpati Vacation
3.           On the date of Out-pass of Diwali Vacation
4.           On the date of Out-pass of Sankranti Vacation
5.           On the date of Out-pass of Summer Vacation 

COMMITTEE
Parents can be the member of Hostel Students Parent Teacher Association (HSPTA) for the smooth functioning of the Hostel. Duties & rights of HSPTA are as below:
1.                 To monitor Academics, Accommodation & Food.
2.                 To finalize the fees structure.
3.                 Discipline concerns.
4.                 Sharing the outcomes of hostel to the other parents.
5.                 Attending meeting regularly. 

SOCIAL MEDIA
The School is always trying to maintain fast & healthy communication with its stake holders like students and parents. Thus, school uses social media extensively to serve this objective.

Parent Portal
This is a web based portal for the parents to know the updates about syllabus, teaching, exam results, day to day happenings, special celebrations, circulars, news, reminders, assignments, homework, e-mails, sms, attendance, school calendar, progress card and so on. Mobile application is also made available for the parents for better and faster communication. The following mentioned details are shared on Parent Portal:

RULES FOR STUDENTS

1.               Admissions and continued stay in the Hostel depends upon the academic performance, good behaviour and conduct of the student.
2.               Any student with unceasing medical problems will be asked to go home at the earliest as personal medical care by parents/ guardian will be necessary.
3.               In case of any problem the student should report the matter to the Dorm Master/ Mistress immediately.
4.               All cases of illness should be reported to the Dorm Master/ Mistress.
5.               Students should not keep any fire-arms, lethal weapons, poisonous things or intoxicants of any kind in the hostel.
6.               Students should not leave the campus without prior permission of the Hostel Superintendent.
7.               Rough handling of hostel furniture, dining furniture, electric fittings etc. is not allowed.
8.               In case of damage caused to any property of the hostel building, school building, furniture, apparatus or any other property of the institute, the loss should be recovered from the persons identified as responsible for such damage.
9.              Students themselves are personally responsible to safeguard their belongings.
10.            Students are not allowed to keep any cash, eatables or any valuables.
11.            No outside food is allowed in school campus & in Hostel.
12.            Lights must be switched off when not in use.
13.            Boys are strictly prohibited from entering Girls’ Hostel and Girls from entering Boy’s Hostel.
14.            Students are not allowed to play games in the inter wings, galleries, or any other indoor places.
15.            No students are allowed to take meals in their rooms.
16.            Ragging in any form is a cognizable offence and disciplinary action will be taken such as expulsion from the institute.
17.            Students should keep their room, corridors and surrounding areas tidy, neat and clean at all times and shall not throw anything including rubbish, in such places or any premises in the hostel except in the dustbin or the place specifically provided for the said purpose. No wet clothes should be dried on the furniture or in corridors.
18.            Students shall treat the staff and housekeeping staff of the Hostel with due courtesy at all times.
19.            Penalty for violation of hostel rules will be decided by the hostel authorities considering the severity of the offence/ violation of rules/ act of indiscipline. 

RULES FOR PARENTS

1.           Parents/ Visitors should not visit any dorm directly.
2.           Parents/ Visitors pass shall be checked.
3.           Parents/ Visitors should not be allowed to stay overnight in the Hostel.
4.           Out-pass application should reach to the Hostel Superintendent two days prior of leave.
5.           Parents should update their change in address, Phone Number, Mobile Number etc. to the school for smooth communication.
6.           Parents are not supposed to meet their wards for two months after school reopens.
7.           In any circumstances if parents visit the school directly they should not be allowed to meet their ward without consulting the Hostel Superintendent and Principal.

RULES FOR DORMITORY
1.           The student has no right to claim on the allotment of room.
2.           Changing room is not allowed. For special circumstances student can approach to the Hostel Superintendent for change of room with proper reason.
3.           Students should keep their dormitories bed, cupboards & other belongings neat, tidy & clean at all the times.
4.           Students should take care of their room & dormitory. Damage to any property shall not be entertained.
5.           Students should utilize water & electricity skillfully where wastage should not be there.
6.           Entering other room & dormitory without permission is not allowed.
7.           Students must not touch the things of other room mates.
8.           The Hostel Superintendent has the discretion to inspect any room at any time. 

DO’S & DON’TS FOR STUDENTS

1.           Always speak in English only.
2.           Follow the discipline in the hostel.
3.           The Hostel Time table must be followed strictly.
4.           Always keep the dorm & hostel premises clean.
5.           Always be polite while taking to staff members, parents and other students.
6.           Complete the homework given in the school time to time.
7.           Take care of all the materials available in the dorm & hostel premises.
8.           Always stay neat & tidy.
9.           Respect elders & take care of younger students.
10.        Always be in uniform.
11.        Don’t behave indecently in the hostel.
12.        Don’t bring Money, Mobile, Electronic gadgets, outside food in the hostel.
13.        Don’t break/damage any material in the hostel.
14.        Don’t enter into other dormitory/ies.
15.        Don’t touch belongings of other students.
16.        Don’t use materials of other students like soap, clothes, shoes etc.
