 HOME SCIENCE CLUB 

RATIONALE 

Home science is an area of knowledge which is essential for learners both male and female, to understand and handle more efficiently their personal life, resources and interpersonal relationship in life. This body of knowledge also develops in them skills that enable them to deal with day to day problems and ultimately establish them as more competent and productive members of the family and community at large. A large number of vocations emerge out of the field of Home Science.
Home science is a club that deals with promotion and preservation or general health matters such as body cleanliness, mental, dental and home hygiene. Il equips learners with knowledge and skills which will be of great importance now and in the future.
The pupils are taught simple issues in cooking general hygiene, sewing and embroidery along with other things. The main purpose of this education is to enable our learners independent, self-reliant and fit in the modern society. 

OBJECTIVES 

The broad objective of teaching Home Science at the Secondary level is to enable the students to improve the quality of their personal and professional life and contribute towards the betterment of the family and the community.
This makes it necessary for them to:
1.     Recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and work on them to achieve their maximum potential.
2.     Put into practice decision making and problem-solving skills to make informed choices.
3.     Develop sensitivity towards the needs of family and society and cater to them.
4.     Develop lifelong ability to absorb knowledge and apply it effectively to meet the challenges to ever changing life.
5.     Become aware of the national issues and challenges and identify one's own role in overcoming them. 

GOALS

1.      To develop in the learner an understanding of the need for healthy environment and skills tocreate and maintain these.
2.      To develop in them the ability to take care of the nutritional needs of the family members andensure good food handling practices.
3.      To impart in the learner the basic knowledge related to textiles used in the home and develop skills for their optimum utilization.
4.      To make learners aware of the rights of consumers and instill in them wise purchasing habits.
5.      To foster in learners understanding of human developmental process and use it to strengthenInterpersonal relationships.
6.      To update students with the educational and vocational scope of Home Science and the need to practice/develop entrepreneurship.
7.      To develop sensitivity towards some of the major psychological and health problems of the Community. 

ECO CLUB

OBJECTIVES 
1.      Educating the students about their environment.
2.      Promoting interests among all its members, students in order to enhance their general knowledge considerably.
3.      Inculcates a passion and thirst for eco-friendly system thereby tries to encourage them to gain adequate knowledge and exposure.
4.      Creating a clean and green consciousness among students through various innovative methods.
5.      Mobilizing students towards scientific enquiry into environmental problem.
6.      Developing the overall personality of member students. It firmly believesthat academics comprise of not only classroom teaching-learning activities and text books but extra-curricular skills too.
7.      Creating deep sense of curiosity among the young ones in order to get to the root of the existing atmosphere.
8.      Involving them in efforts to preserve environment.
9.      Generating awareness about the need and significance of environment.
10.   Prepare all student members competent enough to face the fast-moving competitive world by motivating them to take part in all eco club activities and emerge victorious.

DRAMA CLUB

OBJECTIVES 

1.      To engage productivity in the collaborative process.
2.      To build intellectual and aesthetic understanding of the craft and technique of theatre arts.
3.      To develop an appreciation of and respect for the various roles/aspects inherent within the theatrical process
4.      To explore the diversity of theatre and its intersection with community, culture and society
5.      To produce diverse productions that challenge students and engage the university community 

GOALS

1.      Develop basic skills/training in the theatre arts.
2.      Work in collaborative/artistic ensembles; specifically enhancing skills of listening/respect towards others.
3.      Possess a broad appreciation for theatre arts-in theory, performance, and production, traditional and global standpoints.
4.      Exhibit a fundamental working knowledge of the basic areas of theatre art (acting directing design, voice, etc.)
5.      Process and maintain a basic knowledge of the history, origin and tradition of theatre as an art form.
6.      Articulate theatrical knowledge of the basic areas of theatre (acting, directing, design and voice etc.) in both written and oral communication forms.
7.      Develop specialized skills/training in the theatre arts.
8.      Perform a broad spectrum of dramatic material both improvised and scripted, ranging from Realism to non-Realism, classical to contemporary.
9.      Develop vocal, physical and imaginative skills to express a broad spectrum of dramatic material.
10.   Review, analyze and give constructive criticism on performance.
11.   Work as an ensemble/collective group.
12.   Understand the rehearsal and performance process, including the relationship between the actor and the director, the actor and stage manager, actor and production crew, actor and fellow actors.
13.   Students in the Design option will be able to meet the following objectives:2.6 Understand care mechanics and safe operation of equipment and rigging systems.
14.   Understand and apply knowledge of scenic and costume construction techniques, scenic painting methods and lighting and sound application.
15.   Understand and apply the basic principles of make-up and prosthetics.
16.   Know and operate the lighting and sound equipment for theatrical venues.
17.   Understand and apply methods of scholarly research to the design process.
18.   Communicate design concepts through visual means including rendering, model building, mechanical drafting. CAD, and computer graphic techniques.
19.   Create a design portfolio and theatrical resume. Students within Playwriting will be able to meet the following objectives.
20.   Write plays based upon the 10 minute form, the one-act and the full length models.
21.   Have experience in adaptation and the use of non traditional, experimental and/or avant garde techniques.
22.   Cohesively and specifically analyze a play from a directorial point of view paying particular attention to given circumstances, environmental facts, character analysis, spine & scoring.
23.   Devise a plan of action and implement a rehearsal process with student actors.
24.   Form a "paper concept" on a period play - including Internet and library research.
25.   Critically dissect and critique productions & written works from a directorial POV.
26.   Develop knowledge of theatre history and dramatic literature.
27.   Understand the evolution of the physical stage and historical staging techniques.
28.   Understand historical design styles and how dramatic styles influenced production design.
29.   Appreciate dramatic works from all parts of the world.
30.   Demonstrate that they are familiar with a selection of historically representative plays, indicated by a demonstrable knowledge of selected plays, theatrical conventions, Ideas, and theatrical movements important in the formation of our current contemporary theatrical view.
31.   Clearly illuminate a particular theatrical time period that best represents our current contemporary theatrical view.
32.   Understand the origins and development of American Theatre & be able to use theaters as an investigative tool in discovering American Culture.
33.   Develop skills in script analysis.
34.   Analyze a play from a design perspective, opening the students imagine to "seeing an environment that expresses the theme and spirit of the play.
35.   Analyze a play from a performance perspective, including dramatic structure, character analysis, language investigation, and integrate it within the rehearsal and performance process.
36.   Analyze a play from a directorial perspective, paying particular attention to paying scoring particular attention to given circumstances, environmental facts, character analysis, etc.
37.   Understand and apply the responsibilities of theatrical production personnel.
38.   Understand and apply stage management skills that will enhance personal organization, leadership, and responsibility in a production.
39.   Understand fire and safety regulations and the safe operation of back stage shifting of properties, lighting and scenery.

MATH CLUB 

OBJECTIVES

1.      To keep in touch all the students with day to day inventions in the field of mathematics.
2.      To make the students more confident and expel the baseless fear of mathematics.
3.      To understand the use of mathematical rules, principles, formulae, properties, etc for solving the problems.
4.      To enjoy mathematics and to develop patience and persistence when solving the problems.
5.      To develop inventive, explorative and creative faculties of the child.
6.      To develop critical thinking and logical reasoning powers among the students.
7.      To make students mathematics-minded.
8.      To provide opportunities to use the leisure time more effectively.

QUIZ & DEBATE CLUB 

OBJECTIVES 

1.      To update the knowledge of the students in various fields of Academics, General Knowledge, Analytical abilities, Quantitative reasoning, etc.
2.      To identify students talented in Quiz and creating opportunities for them to sharpen their guessing skills.
3.      To popularize quizzing activities among students.
4.      To enable the youngsters to fight and win in the field of glazing.
5.      To provide information about the present scenario of glazing.

7.      To display their intellectual and independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence.

INTEGRITY CLUB 

PREFACE 
The prowling concern over the corrosion of essential values has brought to focus the need for readjustment in the curriculum in order to make education a forceful toll for the cultivation of social and moral values. If we want to make the world a better place and give joy and fulfilment to our students and empower them to give the same for others, we have to build the foundation of our education on human values. Indeed, no tree can have shoots without firm roots. In this ever-challenging chaotic world where the children are thwarted by electronic media, internet, mobile phone, nuclear families etc. It is important to nurture and sensitize them towards importance of good values. This is what the integrity club aims at. 

OBJECTIVES 
1.      To inculcate moral values in children.
2.      To make students aware of life skills to counter excessive influence of television and internet.
3.      To enable child to think right, to feel the right kind of emotions and to act in the desirable manner.
4.      To enhance the ability of student to discern right from wrong, the good from the bad.
5.      To raise awareness among students about the need to fight against corruption.
6.      To sensitize students towards a lot of unethical practices such as ragging cheating in exams and use of foul language.

ART AND CRAFT CLUB 

RATIONALE
Drawing is a hobby and passion that can be a positive outlet. The colours they use and the things they draw are a great way for kids to show how they feel and also make it easier later in life to express their feeling. 

OBJECTIVES
1.      To learn how to mix colours and make new ones.
2.      To encourage the creativity and innovation in students.
3.      Enhance concentration and attention level with different hands-on learning activities.
4.      To improve the artistic skills and try variety of art forms.
5.      Developing new way of thinking, seeing and creating.
6.      Improve hand and eyes coordination.
7.      Build imagination and intellectual interest.
8.      To get more knowledge about colour combinations.
9.      Participate in various competitions.  

MUSIC CLUB 

AIMS

1.      To provide platform to perform a balanced and well-defined cultural program.
2.      To develop student’s musical literacy and musical sense through joining music activities.
3.      To develop all students’ basic skills in instrumental playing.
4.      To enhance students' ability to enjoy Indian Classical and Western music forms.
5.      To enrich students' knowledge of music that may cope with other subjects.
6.      To develop student’s creativity by adding in music composing in subject learning.
7.      To provide more opportunity to appreciate good music of the world.
8.      Make the learning more happening and pleasant.
9.      Express the emotions freely and improve self-confidence.

READING & KATHA CLUB

PREFACE
‘Books are man’s best friends. The more we read, the more we understand the world around us. And when we read books, the more we discover life beyond what we already know.

OBJECTIVES
1.      Improve student’s vocabulary and communication skills.
2.      Enhance language skills and develop fluency, allowing them to express their thoughts and ideas in a better manner.
3.      Quench the thirst for knowledge.
4.      Stimulate the mind and keep brain healthy & active.
5.      Develop analytical skills.
6.      Reduce stress and provide comfort & relaxation.
7.      Inspire and motivate the pupils with various genres of writing such as autobiographies, short stories, anthology, novel, etc.
8.      Stimulate creativity & innovation and ignite imagination.
9.      Open up minds to new possibilities. 
10.   Develop an understanding for cultural diversity. 


ROBOTICS CLUB 

RATIONALE
Robotics Club is a community of students who derive pleasure in creating mechanical peers that may even be potent to work without human intervention. Each member of this family is provided mechanical, production, electronic, and informatory aid besides the indispensable guidance of experienced members. 

OBJECTIVES
1.      To support and foster interest in various aspects related to robotics; in particular, mechanical design.
2.      Cater to the interests of hobbyists and beginners in robotics, as well as of seniors who may be involved in professional design.
3.      Incorporate creativity and fun simultaneously.
4.      Prepare the present generation for advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, driverless cars, spacecrafts, etc.
5.      Understand and learn programming skills.
6.      Extend support to the participants of robotics-related competitions that are held at all over the India. 

Tourism & HERITAGE CLUB 

PREFACE

It is important to nurture and sensitize them towards importance of preservation of Heritage. This is what the Heritage club aims at. 

OBJECTIVES
1. To bring history and social science curriculum alive for the students through active learning and doing.
2. To promote awareness of and involvement in heritage to inculcate a respect for diversity, tolerance, mutual understanding, patience and promotes peaceful co-existence in our children.
3. To inspire young children and encourage them to build a future through an understanding of the past and the present.
4. To equip we children to understand and explore their local heritage and gain a confident sense of self.
5. To encourage the children to learn about national heritage as well as gain exposure to different heritages around the country. 

ICT CLUB

VISION 
ICT is a powerful tool which is central to the educational process. We recognise the potential of ICT at the heart of the curriculum in terms of learning and teaching and as a core competence for young people. We recognise the success of ICT training in raising the profile of ICT within our school and in enthusing teachers. We aim to develop and strengthen the use of ICT to support learning and teaching. We want our pupils to become independent autonomous learners who are confident and competent using technology. We are aware of the rapid development and the increasing complexity and range of uses of ICT (much broader than just computers) and the increase of interactive technologies in schools. 

Why should our pupils use ICT? 

1.      ICT can develop thinking skills and problem solving strategies.
2.      ICT can enable pupils to locate gather synthesis, analyses, reconstruct, communicate and present information.
3.      ICT can provide opportunities for deeper analysis of concepts and processes.
