4. How safe are the learning spaces? What is the school’s policy on punishment?

All learning spaces across the campus are highly safe and closely monitored. The entire premises—including classrooms from Pre-Primary to Std. X, canteen, hostel, and school buses—are under continuous CCTV surveillance. This ensures constant vigilance and immediate response in case of any concern. In addition, the school employs trained security personnel and patrolling dogs to further strengthen campus safety and security.
The school follows a strict no corporal punishment policy. Discipline is maintained through positive reinforcement, counselling, and constructive guidance rather than any form of physical or verbal punishment. The focus is on creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn and grow confidently.
5. What are the minimum Age Criteria for Admission into Standard 1?
The minimum age requirement for admission into Standard 1 is clearly defined to ensure that children are developmentally ready for formal schooling.
A child seeking admission to Standard 1 must have completed six (6) years of age on or before the first day of the academic year. This criterion helps ensure that students are adequately prepared—both academically and emotionally—to begin their primary education journey.
6. Is there any Admission Test or what are the Admission Criteria?
The school follows a structured and age-appropriate admission process to assess the readiness and competency of students.
For Pre-Primary and up to Grade 1, there is no formal written test. Instead, the school conducts an informal interaction with both the child and parents, and may also consider the child’s previous academic performance (if applicable).
From Grade 2 onwards, admission is granted based on a Competency Test. This test is designed to evaluate the child’s basic understanding and aptitude across key subjects. It includes:
Four subjects: Science, Mathematics, English, and Hindi
Marks distribution: 15 marks per subject (total of 60 marks)
Duration: 1.5 hours
Level: Questions are based on fundamental concepts and are kept at a basic level

7. When my child is relocating to your CBSE School, would there be any difficulties he/she may face due to change in School?

8. What is the duration of the school academic terms and when are the holidays scheduled?

The academic year extends from April to March. Students enjoy a regular weekly break, with every Saturday observed as a holiday. Additionally, on the last day of month, the school schedules a half-day.
Since the school also provides hostel facilities, it generally remains operational on most Government holidays. However, students are given dedicated vacation periods during major festivals:

9. Where can I purchase the school uniforms, books, and stationery for my child?
DCPIS provides a convenient on-campus facility for purchasing essential school items. The school has a bookstore within its premises where parents can buy textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, and other stationery items. The store is efficiently managed by one of the school parents, ensuring easy access and reliable service.
10. Does DCPIS provide canteen facilities, and can day boarding students avail of them?
Yes, DCPIS offers a well-maintained canteen (mess) facility for its students. Nutritious and balanced meals are provided, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
For day boarding students, availing the canteen facility is optional. Those who wish to use it can do so by paying separate fees. Many day boarders opt for the brunch (breakfast and lunch) facility, enjoying fresh meals at school instead of bringing tiffin from home.
For boarding students, the canteen charges are included in the overall fees, ensuring a seamless dining arrangement.
