16th Foundation Day Celebration
Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla International School celebrated its 16th Foundation Day with immense joy, enthusiasm, and festive spirit. The occasion became a truly memorable and heartwarming experience as students, alumni, parents, teaching staff, and administrative members came together to honour the school’s glorious past, dynamic present, and promising future.
The celebration began with a solemn tribute to the founders and visionaries whose dedication laid the foundation of this esteemed institution. The programme featured the declaration of results of various competitions, inspiring speeches, melodious musical performances, and vibrant dance presentations that filled the campus with energy and excitement.
Principal Ms. Shivani Chavan Potdar warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the distinctive identity of DCPIS. She reflected on the school’s remarkable achievements over the years, its commitment to holistic education, and the ambitious goals envisioned for the future.
The Chief Guest, Hon. Mr. Udaysingrao Sarnaik, Deputy Education Officer, addressed the gathering and shared valuable guidance for the students. In his inspiring speech, he emphasized the importance of choosing friends wisely, maintaining discipline, and following the guidance of parents and teachers in order to build a successful and meaningful life.
SSSPSM President, Hon. Shri Gulabrao Pol, expressed immense happiness and pride while witnessing the extraordinary growth of the institution. He commended the dedicated efforts of Team DCPIS and confidently stated that the school is progressing towards an even brighter future. Heads of the sister concerns and well-wishers from the surrounding region also extended their heartfelt greetings and congratulated the school on successfully completing 15 remarkable years of educational excellence.
The Foundation Day celebration also marked the grand culmination of DCPIS Fiesta 2026–27, which had been conducted under the vibrant theme “Rang-e-Bhasha: Many Languages, One Emotion.” The Fiesta provided a platform for students to showcase their literary, artistic, cultural, and intellectual talents through a wide range of inter-house competitions, including Vijaywant Quiz Contest, Costume Carnival, Group Singing, PPT Presentation, Choral Recitation, One-Act Play, Street Play, Elocution, Essay Writing, and many other engaging events.
After an exciting series of competitions, Agni House emerged as the DCPIS Fiesta Champion, securing the highest overall points, followed by Trishul House as the First Runner-up and Prithvi House as the Second Runner-up.
The DCPIS Fiesta and 16th Foundation Day Celebration concluded on a grand and emotional note. The event successfully strengthened the bond among students, alumni, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, and well-wishers, reaffirming the shared pride, affection, and unwavering spirit that unite the entire DCPIS family.
