Swami Vivekananda is known as the Modern Monk of India and a staunch advocate of Universal Brotherhood who inspired the world by the legacy of Indian Culture and Scriptures. His inspiring personality is well known to all. His vast knowledge of Eastern and Western culture as well as his deep spiritual insight, fervid eloquence, brilliant conversation, broad human sympathy, colourful personality and handsome figure made an irresistible appeal to the many who came in contact with him directly & indirectly through his thoughts.

In America, he became India’s spiritual ambassador and pleaded in order to create a healthy synthesis of East and West, of religion and science. The Swami’s mission was both national and international. A lover of mankind, he strove to promote peace and human brotherhood.

Vivekananda believed, “Education is the manifestation of perfection already exists in man”. According to him, education is a continuous process; it should cover all aspects of life – physical, material, intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual as well. His educational thought has influenced today’s world as the modern education has lost much of its connection with the values of human life. Therefore, he suggested that education should not be for stuffing some facts into the brain, but should aim at reforming the human mind.

Thus, the School advocates principles like man making and character building of the students based on the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. The seeds like Value Education, Respect for Elders, Chanting of Shlokas, Being Self Reliant, Social Accountability and so on are incorporated in day to day life of the students & staff.
