DCPIS Reopens After Summer Vacation
The refreshing drizzle and humid weather could not dampen the excitement and enthusiasm of the students as Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla International School reopened after the summer vacation on Monday, 8th June 2026.
Students from Grades 1 to 10 returned to campus with cheerful smiles and renewed energy. They were warmly welcomed by the teaching and non-teaching staff, who ensured a safe, positive and nurturing environment for the beginning of the new academic year.
A special common assembly was conducted to welcome the newly joined teachers and students into the DCPIS family. The atmosphere was filled with joy as students reunited with their friends, classmates, and teachers after the long break.
Principal Ms. Shivani Chavan Potdar extended a heartfelt welcome to all students and shared her enthusiasm for the exciting opportunities and experiences that the new academic year promises. She encouraged students to set meaningful academic and personal goals and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to providing a supportive environment that nurtures learning, growth and well-being.
The teachers familiarized students with the day’s schedule and engaged them in activity-based learning sessions designed to revise and bridge previously learned concepts, ensuring a smooth transition into the new term.
The first day back at school was a delightful blend of learning, interaction, introductions, and recreation, setting a positive tone for a successful and rewarding academic year ahead.
